According to Oyewale, the disciplinary squad was established by EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede to investigate the allegations of two commission officers who went astray and assaulted a female employee of the Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos.

In an early-morning sting operation on Thursday, the officers were seen attacking hotel employees in a video that went viral, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“Olukoyede issued an order for the two officers to be arrested and has mandated that they appear before a joint disciplinary team that includes the Department of Ethics and Integrity, the Appointment, Promotion and Disciplinary Committee, and the APDC.

They are scheduled to appear before the Team at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja on Monday, July 1.

He stated, “The team would investigate the officers’ case and suggest appropriate disciplinary actions to be taken against them.”

Olukoyede emphasized, in his words, that every effort will be made to hold the cops accountable for their unprofessional behavior.
