The governors of the Peoples Democratic Party and President Bola Tinubu intervened on Tuesday to halt the impeachment proceedings against Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President met with the troubled governor and Nyesom Wike, the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
