On Monday, the Senate approved Nyesom Wike, the most recent governor of Rivers State, to serve as a minister.

After listing his accomplishments and curriculum vitae, Wike said that his love for Nigeria drove him to accept the ministerial offer.

In response to a question, he stated, “I accepted the offer to serve as a minister because my passion to serve Nigeria.”
