The Independent National Electoral Commission was prevented from hiring Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the head of the Lagos Parks and Garages, to distribute election materials in the state by Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The Labour Party requested a court order prohibiting INEC from using MC Oluomo to distribute electoral materials in Lagos, and the court granted their request.
