During a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) led by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the monarch expressed hope for a “renewed mandate” for Tinubu. He urged critics to allow the President to continue his efforts and emphasized collaboration to enhance the government’s accomplishments, which include reducing food prices and stabilizing the naira.

The PCC, which recently commenced its campaign activities, has visited significant traditional leaders across Nigeria, including the Shehu of Borno, who commended the enhanced security under Tinubu’s administration. Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau also elaborated on the need for party unity and mobilization in the Kano North Senatorial District for upcoming elections, stressing the importance of an inclusive campaign structure that brings together all stakeholders.

Barau reiterated the dedication of the APC candidates from the top down in Kano State. He encouraged collaboration among party members and confidence in their collective ability to secure victories as they prepare for the January 16, 2027, elections, underscoring the pivotal role of grassroots mobilizers and seasoned politicians within the campaign committee. The current political climate, with a mix of opposition candidates, also led to calls for support for Tinubu’s continued governance. Throughout, themes of unity, progress, and perseverance were prominent, framed within the context of the upcoming elections and the broader national landscape.
