Speaking after Galatasaray secured their 26th Super Lig title, Kavukcu stated that the club has not entered into any official talks concerning a possible transfer or received any offers for the Super Eagles forward.

“Osimhen is still our player. We haven’t had any meetings about a transfer or offer and we are not paying attention to the rumours for now,” he said.

Kavukcu also disclosed that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta was shocked by the huge financial package Galatasaray committed to sign Osimhen permanently from Napoli last summer.

According to him, the club’s investment in the striker goes beyond football, as Osimhen has also brought massive commercial value through sponsorship and advertising deals.

The Nigerian forward reportedly earns €15m yearly salary, alongside loyalty bonuses and image rights payments, with the total package across his four-year contract estimated at around €159m.

Kavukcu insisted he personally wouldn’t approve selling Osimhen even for €150m, although he admitted the final decision belongs to the club president.

He added that Galatasaray expects to generate about €22m from Osimhen’s presence, including millions from endorsement partnerships linked to the striker.

Osimhen enjoyed a brilliant campaign for Galatasaray, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists in 32 appearances across the Super Lig and Champions League competitions. He still has three years left on his contract with the Istanbul giants.
