In a viral video making the rounds online, Sowore was seen speaking directly to Malami, suggesting that the former Justice Minister was now facing the same system he once defended.

“You can now see what it feels like to be on the receiving end. Back then, during the Muhammadu Buhari administration, you were confident and dismissive. We pointed out the flaws in the justice system, but you ignored them. Now the same system is catching up with you,” Sowore said.

He continued, “The system has always had its problems, and now it is working against you.”

Sowore, known for his previous confrontations with security agencies, also made symbolic gestures during the moment, offering Malami what he described as a “revolutionary cap.”

“I want you to have this cap — it represents revolution,” he added.

Despite his remarks, the activist acknowledged Malami’s strength, saying, “At least, it’s good to see you holding up well.”

He stressed that the flaws within the justice system impact everyone, including both critics and those who once held power.

“We may not be on the same side, but even those who once oppressed others are now feeling the pressure,” Sowore stated.

Reaffirming his stance on governance and accountability, he added, “No matter how powerful you may think you are, we will continue to stand against you. Our resolve remains unshaken.”

Responding briefly, Malami maintained his composure and insisted he remained steadfast.

“I cannot be brought down. I have been attending all my court sittings and will continue to do so. I remain strong,” he said.

He also mentioned that he has been present at meetings of the African Democratic Congress, though he was unable to attend a recent opposition gathering in Ibadan over the weekend.
