The film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, also confirmed the milestone, describing the movie’s performance as a powerful statement in cinemas.

According to the company, the film not only topped the weekend charts but also showed how deeply audiences connected with the story. They highlighted that viewers across West Africa turned out in large numbers, filling cinemas and driving the film’s success.

Return of Arinzo continues the story of the 2013 hit Arinzo, a Yoruba-language film that explored crime and personal growth. The original movie was directed by Abiodun Olanrewaju and Muhydeen S. Ayinde, and featured talents from both Nollywood and Ghallywood.
