Onyejeocha played a significant role in promoting labor sector changes throughout her term, especially in the areas of worker welfare and job development.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment, which has been attempting to address the high unemployment rate in the nation, is anticipated to be significantly impacted by her resignation.

Onyejeocha represented Abia State’s Isiukwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives before being appointed Minister of State for Labor.
