On Friday, mourners gathered in Bauchi to pay their last respects, and in order to enable locals to attend the burial ceremonies, the Bauchi State Government declared the day to be a work-free day.

According to NAN, a large number of followers, students, and Muslims from both inside and outside the state flocked to the city for the funeral, necessitating the deployment of heavy security to control the crowd and maintain unhindered traffic.

In accordance with the scholar’s written instructions, Maulud Dahiru Bauchi, speaking on behalf of the family, said that the funeral prayer will take place by 3 p.m.

He said the prayer would be led by Sheikh Sharif Saleh, the Grand Imam of Nigeria.

High-profile figures from all around the nation are anticipated to attend the funeral, including state governors, emirs, chiefs, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, and vice president Kashim Shettima.

“The significant influence the late scholar had on religious life and moral guidance throughout the region is reflected in the large turnout,” he stated.
