“Ms. Maduagwu was a talented professional journalist whose life was cruelly and shamefully cut short.
Tinubu offers the whole Nigerian media community, Arise News Television’s management and employees, and Ms. Maduagwu’s family his deepest sympathies on this tragic loss.

Maduagwu passed away after a horrific armed robbery at her home, according to a Monday announcement from ARISE News Channel.
However, during Tuesday’s edition of The Morning Show, some of the deceased’s coworkers said that the 29-year-old journalist passed away after being refused medical care following injuries she sustained during a robbery attack at her home.
Her death was “preventable,” according to ARISE anchors Ojy Okpe and Reuben Abati.
According to Okpe, the deceased journalist allegedly leaped from her house upon discovering that 14 armed bandits had broken in.
She also mentioned how Sommie reportedly died after being turned away by hospital workers, despite having survived the accident.
When she learned that 14 armed thieves had broken into her home, she cried out, “I jumped down from my home.” She didn’t pass away instantly. She was brought to the hospital but sent away. This occurrence is quite sorrowful. If the hospital had treated Sommie, her life might have been saved.
