ALONE YOU CAN GO FAST, TOGETHER YOU’LL GO FAR

You've been working out hard lately. It may be an amazing HIIT session, spin class, or leg day. When a day off arrives, the desire to do nothing but relax on the couch, binge-watch anything, and call it recovery is real.

We all grew up with the notion of the “self-made” individual who works hard on their own, never seeks assistance, and somehow succeeds.

It sounds heroic. Even inspiring.  But in real life? It wears you out. Furthermore, it is not human nature.

We are designed to connect. for the community. Additionally, the people in our immediate vicinity have the power to significantly impact our motivation.   It’s Science, Not Just a Feel-Good Thing

Your brain truly reacts when you have people checking in on you, encouraging you, and keeping you accountable. It activates the dopamine system, which is activated when you accomplish a task or receive a reward, according to studies.

Additionally, support reduces stress, boosts self-esteem, and stabilizes your emotions when you’re on the verge of losing control. It’s similar to having both a fan club and a safety net.

Motivation wanes and is not permanent. A solid support network, such as a buddy, mentor, coworker, or group chat, is essential to perseverance.

Believing in oneself is much easier when someone else does. Giving up is more difficult when someone depends on you. They feel significant when minor victories are celebrated. If you surround yourself with the appropriate people, you won’t remain in a rut.

If you’ve been having trouble staying motivated lately, it could not be you.
Perhaps you’re merely attempting to accomplish it by yourself.

This is helpful:

Locate your people. People who actually want to see you succeed, not just anybody.

Discuss your objectives. Aloud. Permit others to enter.

Honor the small things. Together, it’s more enjoyable, and every step matters.

Additionally, provide assistance. Give someone else the voice they need.

“As you reflect on your goals, whether personal or professional, ask yourself: Am I only trying to go fast, or am I building something that will go far?”
