After the APC won the bye-election on Saturday, he said this on Monday at a meeting of APC stakeholders in Kaduna.
Sani claimed that the APC’s electoral win was the result of its emphasis on inclusiveness, grassroots mobilization, and efficient governance, while the opposition concentrated on “X battles and Facebook noise.”

“Twitter does not have a ballot box. Neither Facebook nor Instagram have a ballot box. He emphasized that elections are won locally, not electronically.

The governor maintained that only governance, inclusivity, and people-centered policies could keep the APC in power, and that propaganda could never guarantee an electoral victory.
We fought a political battle, while our opponents waged a media war. He said, “They lost because the public knows who really works for them.”

Sani attributed Saturday’s success to intentional investments in agriculture and rural empowerment, telling stakeholders that it was historic, particularly in communities where the APC had not won since 1999. Some localities had never cast a ballot for our party before. They joined us today because they witnessed inclusivity. Regardless of party, race, or religion, we stood up for everyone,” he stated.

He pointed out that Kaduna has improved farmers’ livelihoods by reclaiming more than 500,000 hectares of defunct farmlands and became a pioneer in the production of maize, tomatoes, and ginger.

He claimed that robust financial allocations and agricultural programs have given rural residents hope again, demonstrating that the people who really count are the grassroots voters.

For the APC to succeed in 2027, Sani underlined the value of preserving strong community ties, placing party above politics. The governor’s inclusive leadership style and stakeholders were commended by APC State Chairman Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada for guaranteeing the party’s win in the bye-election. Jekada expressed hope that the APC will strengthen its grasp on power in 2027 if it remained united.
