After an argument over suspected infidelity broke out between the deceased and the suspect on Sunday at Okitipupa, the state’s Okitipupa Local Government Area headquarters, the suspect fatally stabbed the deceased.

Speaking on the incident, Mr. Olayinka Ayanlade, the state police public relations officer, stated that the command had started an inquiry into the incident and that the suspect had been detained and was now in custody.

After an altercation between the two, the suspect stabbed the victim with scissors, according to the PPRO. Later, he passed away in the hospital.

“The suspect is under our custody, and following the completion of the investigation, charges will be brought in court.”
The two lovers had been living together in a room apartment, but they had been having ongoing arguments about trust and suspected infidelity, according to a source who spoke to our correspondent on Monday under the condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to speak to the media. The source also added that the miscommunication between the lovers had turned violent.

“Both of them had been experiencing problems,” the insider stated. There was a violent dispute after the woman accused Michael of cheating on her with another woman. She pulled out a pair of scissors during the altercation and stabbed him in the leg.

Michael was first brought to a local hospital, where he was treated, given injections, and given medication before being released.

His health worsened at home after he was released. He was taken back to the hospital on Sunday night after his leg swelled. Regretfully, despite the doctors’ best efforts to save him, he died.
