Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel is now considering alternatives to ongoing ceasefire negotiations with Hamas, citing a lack of progress and continued hostilities.

In a televised statement, Netanyahu said the government is exploring “new options” to end the conflict in Gaza and ensure the return of Israeli hostages, without relying solely on mediated talks, which he described as “stalling.”

The statement comes after weeks of failed negotiations brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S., with both sides blaming each other for the deadlock. Despite international pressure, fighting in parts of Gaza continues, and the humanitarian crisis deepens.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel remains committed to defeating Hamas and protecting its citizens, adding that all decisions will be made “with security and national interest in mind.”

Analysts say this shift could signal a move toward more unilateral military actions or intensified diplomatic pressure—both of which carry significant risks for regional stability.
