At a lively meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, when the party formally welcomed Prince Abdullahi Yilwatda as its new national chairman, replacing departing chair Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the remark was made.
With party leaders and supporters closely observing, Tinubu didn’t mince words when criticizing the opposition, including the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other organizations that were allegedly banding together in preparation for 2027.
“What kind of coalition do they refer to as? It is not an alliance of unity or progress. The audience erupted in laughter and thunderous ovation when Tinubu joked, “It’s a coalition of confusion.”
The early indications of what is expected to be a tough race toward Nigeria’s next national election are reflected in his remarks, which went beyond simple political teasing.
