The DSC roundabout in Effurun, Delta State’s Uvwie Local Government Area, is where the event happened. The lawyers were about to be slain when military forces stepped in to intervene. The attorneys, who are part of the Effurun section of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), are presently receiving treatment at the Ekpan General Hospital for severe injuries they suffered as result of the abuse. On his Facebook page, Omes Ogedegbe recounted his experience being held captive by thugs yesterday, saying, “We were beaten but not broken down.” We have duty to guide society as attorneys. As lawyers, we took the decision to conduct poll in response to complaints of demonstrators being brutalized.

When Oghenetega Comrade and arrived to the DSC roundabout, was accompanied by three other attorneys. We witnessed man describe his experiences at the hands of the goons. “With deadly weapons drawn, the thugs ambushed us, claiming they were ordered to make sure there was no demonstration in Uvwie. The police were merely short distance away amusing themselves while the incident was occurring, implying that they approved of the attackers. God’s kid cannot be defeated and released. We were able to apprehend five extremely ruthless individuals who appeared resolute in their attempt to murder demonstrators until the valiant officers of the battalions of the Nigerian army arrived precisely when needed.

“They have been turned over to the Ekpan division police.” We are committed to pursuing legal action against them and any of their accomplices in crime.must express my gratitude to the NBA EFFURUN BRANCH, Sunnday Enudi, Joe Adjarho, Monday, Akpovwa Uruemu, Israel Joe PM Arigbe, and number of other people who extended their support. in present, the suspects are being held in the Ekpan Police Station. “The Chairman of the Uvwie Local Government Area, on whose behalf the thugs claimed to be acting, came to the police station to release them, promising to cover the medical bills,” stated the Vice Chairman of the NBA Effurun chapter, who corroborated the attack.

“We resisted that,” he said. We are counting on you to take action with any of our national leaders to prevent the release of these thugs.”
