The 22-year-old has agreed to a five-year contract with Mikel Arteta’s team. He started Italy’s three group matches at Euro 2024.

He teamed up with his new Philadelphia teammates right away.

Calafiori has experience playing on the left wing and is a versatile defender who can play both central defense and left back.

Last season, he made 30 appearances for Bologna in Serie A, where he recorded five assists and two goals as they finished fifth and qualified for the Champions League.
