At least 124 people were apprehended by the police on suspicion of turning the region into a hard drug market and a booze store beside the road, endangering the surrounding ecosystem.
Over the weekend, at night, Chief Superintendent of Police Adetayo Akerele, CSP, conducted the night raid.

According to Akerele, “Humanity at all levels is in danger from the activities of these suspected criminals at the Aminkanle Area of Agbado, Jobi Fele Road by the African Shrine, and NerdC Street, especially at night.” The preservation of Lagos State’s status as a Mega City, safety, sanity, and environmental tranquility made the cleanup essential.

They indiscriminately sell all kinds of narcotics there, which is detrimental to society. They also greatly increase traffic on nearby roads at night, when employees who have worked all day still have to travel for hours to go home. We will make sure that it is totally eradicated since it is unjust to the locals.
