He claimed that his personal experiences served as the basis for the song “Now I Know,” which is off his sophomore album “He Is.”
During his listening party, Rema clarified that it might be difficult to spot true supporters because the industry is full with people who pose as someone they’re not.
He emphasized that since it’s uncommon in the business, it’s important to recognize and value genuine love and support when it’s shown.
“The [music] industry is fake, there are a lot of fake people in it,” Rema declared. Therefore, no one should assume that someone is after clout when they approach them and declare, “Hey, I love this guy.” No, it’s true. When someone comes out, it’s because they witnessed a real person among all the insane people in the industry mixed up with fakes and real people. And that’s the main theme of this song, “Now I Know.” I now know who looks out for me. Everyone I held dear became an enemy. I now know who looks out for me. Everyone I trusted became an enemy.
The eleven-track album by Rema, which was released by Mavin Records, includes collaborations with Shallipopi and Odumodublvck.
