In Lagos, Emmanuel Chukwuma, also known as Oliver, has been arrested for stabbing his 45-year-old girlfriend, Bosede Adefehinti, to death. The incident occurred in a shared apartment in Festac, where the couple is not married. The fight was reportedly caused by an inferiority complex on the man’s part, as he has no job and helps his girlfriend sell herbal medicines called Agbo. The couple often leaves the shop while Chukwuma remains, receiving banter from customers. Lagos State Police Spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident in a statement. Chukwuma attempted to kill himself by jumping into a well, but was stopped and called the police. The incident highlights the ongoing issues between the couple and the potential dangers of self-harm.
