Manchester City has confirmed a transfer to Barcelona for their Spanish midfielder Rodri, accepting a bid of £65.4 million ($88.47 million). The World Cup-winner has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract with the Spanish champions and is set to finalize the move to Nou Camp next week.

During his seven seasons at Manchester City, Rodri accumulated an impressive tally of 12 major trophies, which includes four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three League Cups, and a Champions League title, accruing 298 appearances in total.

He originally joined Manchester City from Atletico Madrid in 2019 for a then-record fee of £62.8 million (approximately $80 million) and was under contract for another year, although the club had hoped he would sign an extension. The 30-year-old midfielder was absent from City’s recent Community Shield match against Arsenal, having just returned to training following minor back surgery.
