Gagdi emphasized the gravity of the findings, stating that various agencies corroborated the falsity of the documents. Walson-Jack’s submissions were facilitated by a summons from the committee. Additionally, the hearing included Deputy Commissioner of Police Olufemi Akinola and Assistant Commissioner of Police Bashir Abdullahi, who represented the Inspector-General of Police. Notably, Adeyemi was absent from the proceedings, prompting the committee to label the establishment and operation of the council as a significant misconduct. The committee has instructed the Inspector-General of Police to locate Adeyemi within 48 hours, pressuring him to clarify how the council gained official status and processed governmental communications amid the ongoing investigation.
