Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr has acknowledged that if she hadn’t achieved success in the entertainment sector, she probably wouldn’t have a job. She attributes her life’s trajectory to her musical profession.
The singer discussed her ascent to fame, her experience with Mavin Records, and the reality of living in the spotlight in a recent interview with EE72.

“I would literally have no job if I weren’t performing music. I don’t even believe I would produce content. That would need a great deal of effort. “I would simply be enjoying my mother’s food and relaxing in her home,” she remarked.

The 24-year-old also recalls how thrilled she was to discover that her songs had been heard by Don Jazzy and the Mavin crew prior to her signing.

When I discovered that people were enjoying my music, I was ecstatic. “You know who it is,” she remarked.

Ayra Starr acknowledged that there are drawbacks to being famous, saying that she occasionally wishes people knew less about her because she frequently speaks candidly in interviews.

“I wish there was less information on me. I can’t stop chatting once the camera turns on. She continued, “And I think I overshare.”

Ayra Starr, whose real name is Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, signed with Mavin Records in 2020 after Don Jazzy found her on social media.

Since then, she has developed into one of Nigeria’s top music exports, producing albums like “19 & Dangerous” and “The Year I Turned 21,” and receiving numerous accolades, nominations, and recognition abroad.
