The Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee faction, supported by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, has been acknowledged by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

On Monday, the electoral authority updated the opposition party’s leadership on its official website, reflecting the development.

Along with other members of the party’s national leadership, these include Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary and Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman.

During the PDP National Convention, which took place on Sunday night at the National Stadium’s velodrome in Abuja, Abdulrahman and Anyanwu both made an appearance.
Following the dissolution of the national caretaker committee, members of the NWC were re-elected by consensus.
