Gospel singer and beloved Nollywood soundtrack vocalist, Onos Brisibi, has passed away at the age of 55 after a long and difficult illness. She died on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy that quietly shaped some of Nigeria’s most memorable film moments and worship experiences. For many, her voice was instantly recognizable, soulful, powerful, and deeply spiritual. It graced iconic Nollywood films like Domitilla and Blood Money, where her music didn’t just accompany scenes, but gave them life and depth.

Her passing was made public in an emotional tribute by veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, who shared not just the loss of a colleague, but of family.
