The #FreeNnamdiKanuNow demonstrators headed by Omoyele Sowore were forcibly dispersed in the Maitama Area of Abuja by a combined detachment of security and defense personnel.

With the slogan “Free Nnamdi Kanu Now,” the demonstrators, which included Barr. Aloy Ejimakor, Sowore, and others, had assembled at the Nigeria Communications Commission NCC offices in Maitama.
Additionally, they were heard warning the police not to tear gas them right before gunshots were fired, and they quickly fled to safety.
