Rashidi Yekini’s historic record of 37 goals in 62 games, which has stood for more than 20 years, is now only eight goals away from the Napoli forward.

Three minutes into the game, Osimhen scored his first goal thanks to a deft ball from Samuel Chukwueze.

He completed his hat-trick early in the second half following a free kick from Moses Simon and doubled the advantage with a strong header in the 37th minute.
To complete the victory, substitute Frank Onyeka scored the fourth goal in stoppage time.

The outcome gave supporters new hope and guaranteed Nigeria’s spot in the playoffs.
