Early evaluations indicate the 23-year-old attacker may miss up to four weeks of action after hobbling off during Saturday’s 5-0 triumph over Leeds United.
Due to a shoulder injury sustained during the victory against Leeds, captain Martin Odegaard is questionable for the game at Anfield.
When Odegaard was substituted during the first half of the 5-0 victory, he appeared to be in pain. It is believed that the former attacking midfielder for Real Madrid left Emirates Stadium with his shoulder in a sling.
The Norway playmaker has not yet been ruled out of the game against the Premier League winners, and there is confidence at Arsenal that neither the 26-year-old nor Saka will be long-term casualties.
Saka, who missed three months of the previous season due to a hamstring injury, is especially relieved.
However, since acquiring Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze this summer, Arsenal has access to a far wider range of attacking potential this season.
Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and Max Dowman are also available to Gunners boss Mikel Arteta in order to make up for Saka and Odegaard’s unavailability.
