Speaking to journalists in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend, the CMD bemoaned the ongoing trend of medical tourism overseas, particularly among political leaders and Nigerians in general. He said that governments should improve healthcare infrastructure by following the example of ABUAD Hospital, which has been dubbed the best hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa and employs some of the best physicians in the nation.
He claims that very few tertiary healthcare facilities in Nigeria and Africa are as well-equipped or can match AMSH’s daily parade of hordes of cross-border staff and advanced medical equipment.
