BUA Foods Plc has partnered with Turkish flour milling equipment manufacturer IMAS to construct four wheat and flour milling factories, aiming to expand into new markets since its Nigerian debut.

Desalu claims that the new plants will have increased manufacturing capacity and the ability to produce more high-quality goods, which will help alleviate Nigeria’s food insecurity issues.

Top BUA Foods and IMAS officials were present at a formal ceremony on Tuesday to sign the deal.

BUA Foods Plc Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu said during the signing event, “This partnership with IMAS is a testament to our dedication to improving food security in Nigeria.” These new plants will greatly increase our ability to keep producing flour products of the highest caliber and contribute to the growth of employment prospects around the nation.

“This investment is a step toward our goal of growing our market share in Nigeria for flour. We will be able to produce high-quality flour with the addition of four mills, giving us the flexibility to meet a range of prospective flour needs.
