Mumuni made this claim in a statement that was provided to DAILY POST on Wednesday and was signed by his media aide, Rasheed Abubakar.
August 1st has been set aside for a demonstration against the lack of food and other basic requirements.
In the statement, Mumuni stated: “In situations like this, communication is essential. Since Nigeria is the only nation we can call home, all parties concerned ought to be open to communication. The government and the parties concerned ought to hold talks.
“The solution to this issue is to approach it peacefully and inclusively. The demonstrators are free to express their opinions, but they must do it in accordance with the law.
The economy and other social structures will be impacted by protest. That is not when the economy will be operating. Other social systems in the nation will be impacted by this as well. During that period, property might also be tampered with or defaced. Everybody knows what transpired during the #EndSARS demonstration. Some folks haven’t moved on from it yet.
“It might turn violent at times, with demonstrators fighting security personnel and with other protestor groups who hold different opinions. I’m pleading with our folks to reconsider and shelve the proposal as a result. Beyond Nigeria, we have nowhere else to travel.
