According to Kenyan health officials, the health situation is currently being investigated, since the students have been admitted to the hospital.

Female pupils at Eregi Girls High School in the country’s west were also reported to be suffering from knee pain.

Jared Obiero, regional director of education, stated that “the education department, the county government, and the public health department are giving a commitment that the children will be treated.”

Earlier on Tuesday, a senior official from the country’s Ministry of Education visited the school and told concerned parents that everything was under control.

He stated that classes would resume as usual for the remaining students.

Blood, feces, and urine samples from the unwell pupils were reportedly submitted to laboratories in a neighboring city in the nation’s capital, Nairobi.
The test results are expected later today.
