Israel Adebiyi is preparing to break the Guinness World Record for the longest film/movie marathon (Cinema). On June 10, 2023, the singer and 500-level Law Student at Ekiti State State University resorted to Twitter to express his plans.

Adebiyi’s sights are set on Suresh Joachim’s (Sri Lanka) current Guiness World Record of 121 hours and 18 minutes.

On December 13, 2015, he achieved the record in Johannesburg, South Africa, as part of a competition with ten other contenders in a pop-up cinema.

The films were apparently broadcast, and the theatre was accessible to the public, thus persons other than the ten contenders were there for parts of the effort.

Adebiyi joins a growing number of Nigerians striving to break global records, the most recent being Adedamilola Adeparusi and her assistant, Jeremiah Adegoke, who are attempting to set a world record for the longest cooking marathon in Ilupeju, Ekiti.
