According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, local production of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as gasoline, by the Dangote Refinery, Port Harcourt Refining Company, and other companies in Nigeria won’t affect the product’s pump price.

In an interview with Arise television in Abuja on Thursday, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, Mele Kyari, reiterated that the idea that gasoline prices would drop once the nation started domestic production was untrue.
