Ogun dad sells son to three different purchasers for N1.25m

David Akinremi, the state’s commandant of the Corps, revealed that the Corps had received information that Chigozie, a 30-year-old male, had sold his nine-month-old baby, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, to three separate buyers at various locations in the Sango, Meiran, and Apapa areas of Lagos.

Chigozie, who resides in the Sango-Ota neighborhood of Abela in the state’s Ado-Odo Local Government Area, admitted to the crime.

In his statement, the suspect admitted to the crime, and he is currently being processed by the National Agency for the Prevention of Trafficking in People (NAPTIP) for a follow-up investigation to locate the child and bring charges, according to Akinremi.

Akinremi stated that discoveries by the corps proved Chigozie had devised a means via which the boy was collected from each of the buyers after each sale till he sold him to the last buyer, identified as Dr. Nosa, in Apapa.
