According to reports, Alhaji Kamilu Ado Isah, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for the Kano State House of Representatives Wudil/Garko District, has passed away.

After a brief illness, Isah, a former Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), passed away on Monday.

The general elections for president, senators, and the House of Representatives are four days away.

In a message of sympathy to his family, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the NNPP’s presidential candidate, described his passing as startling and a great void that cannot be filled.

He claimed that the candidate pleaded with God Almighty to overlook his shortcomings as he devoted his time, wealth, and energy to the growth of the party and his local community.

“I am devastated by the passing of Hon. Kamilu Ado Isah, the NNPP candidate for the Wudil/Garko constituency in the House of Representatives.

“May the All-Powerful Allah pardon his transgressions and give him eternal peace. He added, “My sympathy to his family, friends, and the NNPP Kano Chapter.

In Kano, the deceased was interred using Islamic customs.

On February 25, 2023, Nigeria will have general elections to choose the country’s President, Vice President, and representatives to the Senate and House of Representatives.
