Protest: The EFCC Investigates Sponsors’ Bank Accounts
The Department of State Services (DSS) was reportedly instructed to communicate with the anti-graft agency in order to obtain complete information about the people and entities that had previously been identified as the protest's sponsors. Our correspondent received information on Monday from a high-ranking EFCC officer stating that the organization had obtained the sponsors' bank account details and had started an investigation into them right away. This, the source added, would ensure that terrorism funding was stopped and would assist the commission in determining the amount of their involvement should violence break out anywhere in the nation.
