According to reports, a female soldier from Adamawa state shot at a senior coworker by accident in Yola, the state’s capital. The female soldier, identified as Lance Corporal Nkiru, was tasked with enforcing the curfew set by the state government. Nkiru was reported to have shot the captain inadvertently as he attempted to step in during her altercation with bystanders at the fire service roundabout in the state capital.
