A Nigerian lady was remanded by the Seychelles Supreme Court on charges of conspiring to import and traffic in illegal drugs.
The 52-year-old woman was jailed after being apprehended at the Seychelles International Airport on Thursday following her arrival on an Ethiopian Airline flight, the Seychelles news agency said on Monday.
A search, discovery, and seizure of 250 grams of what is thought to be cocaine led to the woman’s arrest.

The western Indian Ocean archipelago of the Seychelles has a zero-tolerance policy for the importation and trafficking of illicit narcotics. If found guilty, the maximum sentence is life in jail.
