In response to contentious allegations that the recent kidnapping of 46 students and teachers in Oyo State was a political scheme by the state government to blackmail President Bola Tinubu, businessman Isaac Fayose publicly denounced his older brother and former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

During a live interview on Politics Today on Channels Television, the former governor made the accusations. He criticized the way the Oyo State Government handled the situation, claiming that state governors should be in charge of local security rather than blaming the federal government right away since they got security votes.

Isaac Fayose responded to his brother’s comments by posting a widely shared video on social media. He questioned the former governor’s reasoning, asking why he did not draw the same conclusions regarding the widespread kidnappings taking place in states run by the All Progressives Congress (APC), including Borno, Niger, and Kwara.

Isaac specifically criticized his brother’s position, pointing out that kidnappings have recently taken place even in their own state of Ekiti. He came to the direct conclusion that his older brother should keep quiet if he doesn’t have anything meaningful to say about the growing insecurity.
