The French champions confirmed on Monday that the forward is currently receiving treatment for discomfort in his right calf following Sunday’s 2-1 Ligue 1 loss to Paris FC.

Dembele was taken off midway through the first half as a precaution after feeling pain in the affected area. Despite the concern, the Ballon d’Or winner appeared comfortable after the match and was seen leaving with the squad without any visible signs of injury.

PSG stated that the 29-year-old will continue treatment over the coming days as the club monitors his recovery before the European final later this month.

Speaking after the game, manager Luis Enrique suggested the issue may be linked to exhaustion after a demanding campaign.

“I believe it’s probably fatigue,” Enrique said.

“It has been a difficult end to the season, but we now have two weeks to get ready for the biggest game in the club’s history.”

Dembele has struggled with several fitness problems this season, including repeated thigh and calf injuries.

Meanwhile, Achraf Hakimi has returned to individual training after recovering from a thigh issue. Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, and Lucas Chevalier also resumed personal sessions after missing Sunday’s fixture.

PSG recently secured their fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title and the 14th league crown in the club’s history after defeating Lens 2-0 last Wednesday.

The French giants will face Arsenal in Budapest on May 30 as they aim to defend the Champions League title they won for the first time last season.
