FIFA is putting up a sizable compensation package for football teams whose players will play in the 2026 World Cup.

Melchor Ruiz of El Partidazo de COPE claims that during the competition, teams are anticipated to get more than €9,000 per player every day.

The payments will be made to teams where football players are currently on loan in addition to the clubs that control the players’ contracts.

The 2026 World Cup will take place over 38 days, from June 11 to July 19, in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Clubs are anticipated to lose players for longer periods of time than in prior editions due to the tournament’s inaugural expansion to 48 teams, raising worries about player strain and fixture congestion.

In addition to rewarding clubs for releasing players for international duty during one of the largest sporting events in the world, the compensation program is intended to allay those worries.
