The documentary, titled “Investigating a Village of Widows in Nigeria Amid Fears of a ‘Christian Genocide’,” explores the effects of violent attacks on communities in parts of Nigeria.

Speaking emotionally, Stephens described how armed men reportedly invaded her home in the middle of the night.

She explained that the attackers forced their way in after damaging the door.

According to her account, she was asleep when gunshots rang out. She tried to wake her husband but got no response. At the time, she was nursing her infant.

She said the attackers broke into the house after struggling to open the door and eventually gaining access.

Stephens alleged that the assailants attacked her family, killing her child and husband in the process.

It would be recalled that on March 29, which coincided with Palm Sunday, gunmen carried out an हमला on the Angwan Rukuba community, also known as Gari Ya Waye, in Jos North.

The attackers reportedly arrived around 8pm on motorcycles and in vehicles, opening fire on residents gathered in a busy area within the densely populated suburb, which is popular among students.

Eyewitnesses claimed the assailants wore outfits resembling military camouflage, and the attack targeted a largely Christian community near Jos.

Reports indicate that between 20 and 30 people lost their lives in the incident, with several sources confirming at least 24 casualties, including men, women, and children.
