Shortly after becoming a member of the ADC in his ward, Ogbonnia made the statements on Thursday in Ugbo, Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State.

He claimed that he joined the ADC in order to provide Nigerians a platform to overcome what he saw as the shortcomings of the APC leadership in his ward, senatorial district, Enugu State, and the nation.

“I came to the conclusion that ADC is the way after looking about and travelling east, north, south, and west. I’ve returned to the ADC, and we’re going there to win—from Ward 9, Awgu, Greater Awgu, Enugu State, and at the centre,” he remarked.

Ogbonnia went on to say that his objective is to create a cohesive opposition that can generate legitimate candidates for every level of government.  “Those in the Lion Building will face challenges from this worldwide movement. Tinubu, my terrible friend, needs to step down from his position. “It will be Tinubu against the Nigerian masses,” he declared.

“Tinubu can be qualified as one of the worst presidents in the history of Nigeria, and his second term is an existential threat,” he continued, criticising Tinubu’s leadership. Nigerians must prevent that from occurring. For this reason, I am looking for a platform to win and rescue Nigerians from the current crisis through a united opposition.

In order to develop the party and promote good administration, Ogbonnia also underlined his dedication to making sure that candidates from his ward, local government, senatorial zone, and beyond are strong and reliable.
