Bola Awofisayo shared a video on Facebook that showed the dead bodies of the crash victims lying by the side of the road, with the bus driver trapped behind one of the damaged cars.
On Monday, the Federal Road Safety Commission verified that the collision involving a truck and a vehicle happened on Sunday.
The collision occurred when the two vehicles collided, killing five individuals, according to Mr. Samuel Ibitoye, the FRSC sector commander who verified the occurrence. The disaster claimed the lives of five persons, including two adult males, one adult female, and two female youngsters.
Ibitoye clarified, “It was caused by speeding that resulted in a head-on collision on a road that was under construction.”
Ibitoye advised drivers to always be aware of traffic laws and guidelines when operating a vehicle.
Two other fatally injured people were retrieved at the scene of the collision, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
