Ahmed underscored his belief that Tinubu’s second term is assured, citing the precedent set by late President Muhammadu Buhari, who served two full terms. He emphasized that unity among opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, and others, could facilitate Tinubu’s continued leadership rather than fostering division.

Ahmed defended the Tinubu administration against criticisms from key political figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Labour Party candidate Peter Obi. He praised the President’s significant reforms and international engagements, attributing a newfound respect for Nigeria on the global stage to these efforts, which he believes lay the groundwork for long-term economic recovery.

He highlighted several positive economic indicators, including an increase in foreign reserves to over $40 billion, improved foreign direct investment, and a decrease in inflation, suggesting that these outcomes are tangible results of Tinubu’s “financial re-engineering” policies. Additionally, Ahmed argued that Tinubu’s recently controversial move to remove fuel subsidies reflects necessary courage and strategic foresight.

In addressing infrastructural initiatives, Ahmed mentioned key projects such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto–Badagry expressway, expressing confidence in the administration’s commitment to development and historical reforms that had been stalled for decades. He also referenced his constituency’s benefits from various projects aimed at empowering youth and women, providing medical outreach, and improving local infrastructure.
