Allowing Anthony Joshua to finally fulfill his lifelong ambition of fighting in Nigeria.
The CEO of the promotional company Balmoral, Dr. Adamu, intends to lure the British-Nigerian back home for a historic homecoming bout in the first quarter of next year.
The ambitious promoter, who is organizing Nigeria’s “Chaos in the Ring” event in Lagos on October 1, informed The Ring that talks with Joshua’s team have been very encouraging.
“I spoke with him and his team, and they told me that if we received an offer from Nigeria, it would be a match made in heaven,” Adamu remarked.
“Joshua has consistently stated that he wants to fight in Nigeria before his career ends, and we will make that fight happen.”
Adamu stated that he intends to hold the fight at the 50,000-seat Abuja Stadium, with an all-African field.
“There would undoubtedly be two Africans for it. Deontay Wilder, who is also of Nigerian heritage, wants to fight in Africa, and we are considering Joshua against Tony Yoka. Martin Bakole is also a possibility. “There are various names,” he stated.
Nigeria is the largest market for our current huge promotion. Joshua’s decision to fight in Nigeria is obvious.
Joshua was born in Watford, but he attended school in Nigeria for a while. As a nod to his heritage, he has a tattoo of the Nigerian shape on his right shoulder.
Adamu highlights Nigeria’s advantages and says the country has the facilities and capacity to become a heavyweight boxing hub.
He asserted, “We have the population, the infrastructure, and the technical know-how.” “This is only the beginning.”

Several heavyweight celebrities with ties to Nigeria have been highlighted by Adamu as potential attendees of upcoming events.
Although the idea had mostly remained theoretical up until now, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn had previously raised the prospect of the heavyweight going to Africa to compete professionally.
The anticipated match in 2026 would be a landmark event for African boxing and would pave the way for future high-profile bouts on the continent.
