To borrow Usher’s words, Oluwatosin “Mr Eazi” Ajibade and Temi Otedola quite literally found love in the club. One cold London night in January 2017, the Afrobeats star walked into the Tate Club to catch a set by Florence “DJ Cuppy” Otedola (Temi’s sister) only to meet the woman who would change his life. Five years later, against the romantic backdrop of Venice, he proposed on the set of his music video for Legalize.
Fast forward to 2025, and the Nigerian power couple turned their love story into a trilogy of weddings that spanned three countries and celebrated their heritage, their families, and their shared passions with Califano Productions orchestrating every detail.
Chapter One: Monaco
On May 9, a date chosen to honor Eazi’s late mother’s birthday, the couple wed at the Mairie de Monaco in Monte Carlo. The Otedola family, who have a home in the principality, hosted the intimate legal ceremony.
Temi wore a tailored Wiederhoeft suit paired with Briony Raymond jewels, embodying understated chic, while Eazi opted for a classic Louis Vuitton look. “We’ve been engaged for three years and together for eight,” Temi reflects. “The day felt calm, almost like a secret we were letting the world in on, just the two of us in Monaco, no distractions.”
Later, she slipped into a playful polka-dot Christopher John Rogers dress for Champagne at Villa La Vigie, Karl Lagerfeld’s storied Riviera home.
Chapter Two: Dubai
Two months later, Dubai played host to a vibrant Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family residence. Temi, a passionate fashion collector, curated a bridal wardrobe that blended tradition with couture: custom designs by Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, Lisa Folawiyo, and Oscar de la Renta.
Posen envisioned her duchesse satin gown as a modern homage to Nefertiti; complete with a dramatic sculptural gele and bow reminiscent of dove wings. “It carried both a timeless grace and a futuristic edge,” he says.
Styled by Jason Rembert, Eazi made his entrance to live drummers in a custom Lisa Folawiyo Studio agbada, walking cane in hand. Temi followed, her Posen gown glistening under the lights as his hit song Skintight played.
The ceremony was steeped in emotion. “Nigerian traditional weddings are about families as much as the couple,” Temi shares. “But sitting with my parents for what symbolically felt like the last time before joining my new family was unforgettable.”
The reception unfolded under a billowing tent adorned with 2,000 lanterns, chandeliers, and lush greenery. Guests lounged in Ankara-upholstered booths, dining on pounded yam, snail, and egusi before dancing to performances by King Sunny Adé and DJ Eude.
In tribute to Eazi’s late mother’s Igbo roots, the couple changed into coordinated akwa ocha ensembles; hers by Lisa Folawiyo with beaded fringe, his by Mazelle.Later, at an after-party-turned-shisha lounge, Temi shimmered in a golden Oscar de la Renta chain dress while Eazi sparkled in Toure Designs.
Chapter Three: Iceland
For the grand finale, the couple chose Iceland, their “favorite place on earth.” The celebrations began with a rehearsal dinner at Reykjavík’s Harpa Opera House, where Temi wore Valentino. The following day, she walked down the aisle at Hallgrímskirkja in an Audrey Hepburn inspired Fendi Haute Couture gown as Wagner’s Bridal Chorus rang through the soaring church. Eazi, in Saint Laurent, waited at the altar.
The ceremony, officiated by their London pastor, gave way to a reception at Kleif Farm. A glass tent evoked Iceland’s rugged beauty with moss, fog, volcanic stone, and waterfalls as décor. In place of a formal dinner, guests shared a family-style feast from Oto, the couple’s beloved Reykjavík restaurant.
Then came a secret surprise: John Legend performed for the newlyweds. “It was surreal,” Temi says. “I was completely overwhelmed.”
The night flowed into an after-party at The Edition, where both wore matching jackets embroidered with Love Is Eazi. And on the final day, they hosted an arctic beach party at Hvammsvík hot springs.
Guests soaked in geothermal pools or braved a cold fjord plunge while Michael Brun DJ’d and Icelandic food stalls served everything from burrata pizza to the iconic Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur hot dogs.
As the midnight sun dipped briefly below the horizon and the Northern Lights illuminated the sky, Temi, this time in Alaïa, closed out a wedding season like no other.
“We’ve always done things our own way,” she reflects. “Each wedding honored our families and our cultures, but most importantly, every detail felt like us.”
