During a guest visit on The Nancy Isime Show, the 45-year-old veteran singer made this audacious assertion.

9ice, who referred to the devil as the “choirmaster,” claimed that many artists indulge in vices like smoking because of the devil’s influence.

As he emphasized that he is speaking from firsthand experience, the singer of “Gongo Aso” went on to call the devil “the most powerful angel.”

Therefore, 9ice cautioned budding musicians to be prepared before entering the profession by being aware of its spiritual truths.

“Music is under the devil’s control,” he remarked. The choirmaster is the Devil. We smoke and engage in all of our activities for this reason. In general, the devil controls music. Know where you’re coming from if you’re entering this field.

“I’m telling the truth. The most potent angel is he [the devil]. I’m speaking from knowledge and my own spiritual experiences.

9ice said, “Several times,” in response to host Nancy Isime’s question about if he had ever faced spiritual struggles while performing music.

“What’s that one spiritual battle you went through that you thought you would not get out of?” Isime asked, probing further.

“When I was vomiting blood for about six months in my own house,” 9ice retorted. I had to go out of my home. It took place between 2009 and 2010. There was nothing medical about it.

Then Isime inquired, “So, how do you protect yourself?” and 9ice gave an explanation of his spiritual identity in response.

“I’m a Babalawo, not a Christian or a Muslim,” he declared. I’m from Africa. I’m a conservative. I had Ifa for the first time while I was throwing up blood. I was directed to ifa by someone. All I wanted was to have known Ifa sooner. People used to make fun of Fela when he went to Ogun, but now I get it.
